Humanity generally accepts that sleep is important enough that we should spend a third of our lives doing it. Yet despite the inherent risk of sleep, we all do it. Why? Because it’s even more dangerous not to sleep. Put simply, sleep is so important that species all over the world risk their lives to do it. In this post I’ll cover why, and how, to make your sleep count.
The workplace is where a lot of us first experience a sore or achy low back. There is a direct correlation between sitting for long periods of time and low back pain. Prevention is key. You can help prevent low back pain by understanding why prolonged sitting makes your back hurt, and by learning a few movements that can help correct these issues. 5 movements to avoid IT Band Syndrome, or "Runner's Knee". IT band syndrome, also known as “runner’s knee”, is an inflammation and irritation of the thick back of fascia that runs along the outer thigh, from the hip to the knee. Avoid this painful condition with this pre-run warmup routine.
