As a fundamental component of many natural movements, if the knee doesn’t move well then discomfort and compensations certainly hinder performance. The knee and tissues that support it need to be strong, yet mobile, so that it can move with ease (and without stiffness or pain).

Unfortunately, many people experience knee pain due to muscle imbalances that cause unnecessary stress to the knee rather than distributing loads to more powerful areas such as the hips.
