Hip Bursitis Treatment at Kinetic

We see people with shoulder impingement all the time at Kinetic, and we get excellent results through our unique approach - combining both active rehab and soft tissue treatment to get you out of pain fast!

Working on the tissue around the shoulder using Active Release Techniques and Graston Therapy we make sure the shoulder is healing properly and you are getting out of pain as quick as possible. But, that's only half of the equation. After treatment, we have you learn corrective functional exercises as part of your personalized rehab program. It's these exercises that correct movement dysfunction and re-train your body (and brain) how to move properly to prevent further or future injury.

What Is Hip Bursitis?

Hip bursitis is inflammation of a bursa located near your hip joint, where your femur rests in the socket (acetabulum) of the pelvis.  A bursa is a small fluid-filled, pad-like sac that reduces friction and cushions pressure points between your bones and the tendons and muscles around your joints.

Signs & Symptoms of Hip Bursitis

Hip bursitis is one of the most common causes of hip pain.  It can occur from a fall or blow to the hip, but most cases of hip bursitis result from repetitive strain of the muscles around the bursa - this can happen if you have poor movements when walking, running, squatting, hiking or even sitting and standing for long periods of time.

How Can Kinetic Help Treat My Hip Bursitis?

At Kinetic we work hard to figure out what initially caused your hip pain. We do this by taking you through an extensive movement assessment to take a look at your hip, knee and squatting mechanics. Once assessed, we want to make sure that you get out of pain, but more importantly, you can get back to the sport or activity that you love! If you want to run around Green Lake or squat 300 pounds, we want to get you comfortable doing just that.

If you think you have hip  bursitis or any type of hip pain, we'd be happy to see you at any of our clinics. You can schedule an appointment online or call the location most convenient for you.
